The Infrastructure Health and Safety Association (IHSA) is pleased to offer an exclusive eLearning program to members of the Ontario General Contractors Association (OGCA) and their workforce. This self-paced online training is designed to enhance workers’ understanding of occupational health and safety hazards while efficiently fulfilling Ontario’s mandatory training requirements.

Program Includes: Entry-Level Construction - Meets Ontario's legal requirements for Worker Health & Safety Awareness Training. This course provides an introduction to health and safety hazards in construction and teaches workers how to recognize hazards, prevent injuries and fatalities and protect themselves on the job site.

Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) - Meets Ontario’s legal requirements for WHMIS training and includes information on the Globally Harmonized System (GHS) for classifying and labelling chemicals.

Note: this is an awareness program only. It does not certify participants for work in a construction setting. Employers are responsible for providing job-specific training.

A minimum of 80% must be achieved to advance to the next module of Entry Level Construction. Learners will have the opportunity to receive feedback on their results and retry any questions.

A minimum of 75% must be achieved to complete WHMIS.

Learners will have 2 attempts. A certificate of completion for this program will be issued to learners who successfully complete all modules.
